NMC ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE
The Program
The Nannup Music Club Inc is excited to be launching its NMC Artists In Residence program. In line with the organisation’s goals of supporting artists and nurturing cultural and creative pursuits, the program will bring together artists and the local community, while supporting their creative and professional development and highlighting Nannup as a destination.
Our residencies are open to both emerging and established artists and are held at the NMC Festival House in Nannup. Artists must be 18 years and over to apply or have a parent/guardian apply and stay with them. We endeavour to make available four NMC funded residencies annually, as well as the option of NMC supported residencies by offering the Festival House at discounted rates for individual artists, arts organisations and educational institutions.

The Festival House
Nestled among jacaranda trees and surrounded by a beautiful veranda, the Festival House comprises four bedrooms and a bathroom with a huge kitchen (and oven for cooking together) and large living area. A classic Nannup cottage-style property right in the heart of town on the Nannup Music Festival site, nestled in the perfect position; two minutes walk to cafes, gift shops, local supermarket, pub, and brewery; with a two minute walk in the other direction through the Arboretum, winding through jarrah and karri forests, and alongside the Blackwood River/Goorbilyup. Countless outdoor adventure activities including swimming and birdwatching at Barrabup Pool, world-class mountain bike tracks, the halfway point of the Munda Biddi Trail, and 20kms from the nearby Bibulmun Track, in this historic town of Nannup, Place of Rest.
Outside of NMC Artist Residencies and Nannup Music Festival dates, the house is available to book as short-stay accommodation.

Natalie Ripepi (December 2026)
I am a Western Australian singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer and music educator with nearly 30 years’ experience performing, teaching and creating original music. My practice is grounded in the belief that music can foster connection, resilience and healing. Alongside performing and recording, I facilitate songwriting workshops in schools and community settings, helping others find their creative voice. I also record and produce my own music from my home studio, where I independently created my most recent EP. My aim is to create meaningful musical experiences that connect people.
Emily Rose (April 2027)
My current art practice centres on contemporary Aboriginal art that honours my cultural heritage and shares personal stories of family, connection to Country, and ancestral knowledge. Bridging traditional wisdom passed down from Elders with contemporary expression, I work across multi-media, with a strong focus on ephemeral art alongside painting. Through my work I aim to preserve and celebrate Aboriginal culture, foster understanding between communities, and inspire the next generation of young people to embrace their creative voices. Above all, my practice serves as a living continuation of culture and a personal legacy for my children and future generations.
Tate Tolchard (July 2027)
I’m a 15-year-old vocalist and emerging songwriter from Perth. Music is a huge part of my life. I study on a vocal scholarship, perform across multiple school music projects, have my own band and will be studying ATAR Music. I’m also developing my own original music and looking forward to volunteering with The Push to support other young people in music. Through my own experiences, I’ve seen how music can turn self-doubt into confidence, create a sense of belonging and remind people they’re not alone. That’s why I’m passionate about helping young people find their voice and communities.
