NANNUP UNPLUGGED
New in 2026, the Nannup Music Festival is offering patrons the option of an “Unplugged” venue.
Performances are lined up from local (Nannup, Balingup, and Bridgetown) singing groups, local and regional musicians and buskers, and a ‘blackboard’ session for those brave to have a go. The highlight will be “unplugged” evening performances from seasoned artists drawn from the main Festival program.
“Unplugged” means predominantly acoustic music, with minimal sound re-enforcement to help balance sound levels. Limits will be in placed on electronic instruments, use of pedals, drum kits, etc, allowing an emphasis on raw style and musicianship. Performances will be contained within the venue, and won’t be competing with or overshadowed by sound levels from the main Festival stages.
This initiative aims to deliver intimate performances for smallish audiences, in an atmospheric environment. The venue will be alcohol free, and will deliver morning, afternoon, and evening sessions on the Saturday and Sunday of the Festival. Sessions will be free to all, with a gold coin donation welcomed.
The “Nannup Unplugged” venue is St Thomas More Catholic Church, on the corner of Warren Rd and Cross St in Nannup. More information will be available during the Festival. Look out for posters, go to the Information counter of the Ticket Office, or look online.
So, if you want to soothe your ears and feast your minds on some authentic, from the heart, personal, and unique musical performances, switch on to “Nannup Unplugged!”
