About the artist
Tom Harrington is an Australian indie-folk traveler whose music saunters between sun-drenched introspection and foot-tapping nostalgia. Raised in rural Victoria on the land but now channelling the salty air of coastal Australia, the combination of his past and present is presented in a performance so dynamic it’s hard to know what’s coming next. Crafting looped vocal harmonies upon rich acoustic rhythm, a full bodied is sound created from just one man without distraction or disconnect.
Over the past few years has carved out a reputable place in the Australian music scene, supporting acts like Boy & Bear, Ziggy Alberts, Bears Den (UK), The Dreggs and Kim Churchill, and leaving footprints on the stages of Byron Bluesfest, Maleny Music Festival, Gympie Music Muster and Airlie Beach Music Festival. His 2023 win at the Sunshine Coast’s Battle of the Buskers cemented his talent within the indie-folk community, and tracks like Seen The Sun and Be There Soon have since travelled across 150+ countries.
Tom spent last summer touring every state and territory of Australia sharing his debut album before heading to Europe for first time taking his live show internationally for the first time
His lyrics wander through themes of longing, love, and beauty of the natural world, wrapped in melodies that feel like they’ve been passed down through generations. With a sound that tips its hat to trad folk and dips its toes into coastal country, Tom is just as at home serenading a backyard of rug-goers as he is lighting up a festival stage. Either way, the crowd ends up swaying like trees in a summer breeze.
