About the artist
Sea Swallow – Claire Moodie and Bill Lawrie – are a folk duo with Scottish and Australian origins. They draw on early jazz, folk and country blues influences, and over several years of performing together around Western Australia and Scotland they have found a way to combine two very different voices into a sweet and distinctive sound. Featuring strong musicianship on guitars, harmonica and snare, they have a large repertoire of early country blues and jazz, folk, along with well regarded and award winning original material. Often described as having on-stage “chemistry,” in performance they can be reflective or boisterous in turn, always looking for a chance to connect with the audience and stay in the moment.
