About the artist
Navy June are a Boorloo-based five piece carving out their place in Western Australia’s indie scene since 2025. Blending the grit of grunge with the warmth of soul, their sound channels the nostalgic energy of the ’90s while reimagining it for the present day. Drawing inspiration from an unusual blend of artists – Fiona Apple, Hole and Fleetwood Mac – Navy June creates music that feels both familiar and fresh.
Their debut single, ‘Slip’ garnered over 10,000 streams across platforms and regular airplay on local radio. Their latest, ‘Mister’, ‘Please’ and ‘Routine Avoidance’ has also earned high praise and equivalent streams, with ‘Mister’ placing #1 for both Indie/Alternative and Rock/Metal on Amrap charts and #6 for National Radio. This alongside a steady program of live shows (35+ in 2025 and 50+ in 2026), local festival inclusions and major supports in fuelling the rise of Navy June’s industry recognition and rapidly growing fanbase.
