About the artist
Kelvin’s Place is a 2-piece indie/surf rock band originating in Bunbury, Western Australia. Formed by 2 mates, Judd and Darcy, in a Certificate III Music class in 2023, the band started out playing indie covers, but quickly realised they had a knack for writing riffs and melodies that laid the groundwork for their own specific style of surf music.
Drawing inspiration from bands such as Skegss, Hockey Dad, Spacey Jane, DOPE LEMON and Rum Jungle, the band have fine-tuned their sound to create a West-Aus flavoured blend of sun-drenched nostalgia, resonating with audiences across Perth and the South-West.
The band have opened for larger acts such as Bunbury legends Great Gable, and their live show has graced the stages of iconic venues such as the Indian Ocean Hotel and The River. The band is currently based in Perth/Boorloo and have released music, including their debut EP ‘Ground Control’.
