About the artist
Through music and story, Dan Christos and Cara Flame trace the long journey of humanity—from the dawn of ancestral memory to the world we inhabit today. Blending their own Scottish and Macedonian musical traditions with acoustic progressive rock, electronica, comedy, improvisation and storytelling, this performance celebrates the threads that connect us across time, culture and place. A journey through fire, belonging, loss, wonder and the enduring human search for home.
Dan and Cara started their shared musical journey in Nannup, after a varied journey through life and around the globe. Dan spent many years travelling the Rainbow Caravan around the world, playing music on six continents, before returning to Australia to do the same. Dan landed in Nannup in 2020, and has since found community here. He co-runs Living Sounds and the Nannup Variety Club. Cara grew up singing and performing on stage in Perth, working in theatre for many years, before living in China, working as a singer and making films. Upon returning to Australia she continued to perform, make films, became an arts therapist, and ended up bringing down a cult through an extended media campaign. She moved to Nannup in 2025, and loves living in this beautiful town.
