About the artist

WAM award nominated songwriter Charlie Youngson is a young, Fremantle based multi-instrumentalist whose set consists of fast paced guitar work, silky vocals and a captivating blues-folk blend. He has opened for artists including Vika and Lynda bull, Kim Churchill and blues legend Ash Grunwald, all of whom are huge inspirations for his blues-folk style. He has played at Nannup Music Festival, The Blues at Bridgetown and won the Fairbridge Song Quest as well as playing over 70 shows in 2024. After completing his training at WAAPA in 2024, Charlie now performs and runs his own recording studio based in Fremantle and recently front-manned Perth band Sophian on their national tour. This year, Charlie is joined by Owen Loaring (bass) and Toby Keeffe (drums) to create a power-house blues sound. You don’t want to miss this emerging artist!
