About the artist
Blue and Bird should know better at their age, drinking, smoking and playing rock n roll only leads down one path.
D. Forster (Blue) and N. Bird met in the depths of dirty Fremantle music venues in the early 00’s, later combining on the opening track of WAM’s Sounds of the Goldfields album in 2016. Threatening each other to make songs together ever since, the perilous reality arrived during the soaked sweats of a covid lock down. The duo riled up some notable music friends in Ben Witt, Sean Lillico and Lee Jones and made a bunch of tracks for release.
In their own sweet time, Blue and Bird have chipped away at readying the songs for the world with mix engineer Sean Lillico at Fur Real Studios, in West Australia’s Margaret River region. The first track ‘Everything’ has earned a 2025 WA Music Song of The Year nomination in the Blues/Roots category, forcing the hand of Blue and Bird to release Everything, on the day the winners were announced.
