Remote Aboriginal Artist Development Program
Our Remote Aboriginal Artist Development Program is supported by the West Australian Government’s Contemporary Music Fund through the (Dept) Creative Industries Sport and Tourism (CITS), and is building on our continued support for remote community Aboriginal bands, musicians and culture in Western Australia. Do you live in a remote or very remote community in Western Australia and dream of sharing your music beyond your community? Applications are now open to take part in next year’s program which includes a trip to record and perform at the 2026 Nannup Music Festival.
Nannup Emerging Artists Award
Meet the 2026 Nannup Emerging Artists Award entrants! Ten artists from our lineup will go in the running for recording time with Lee Buddle at Crank Recording and James Newhouse at Lamb Chop (thank you to Totally Sound). Winners are selected by an industry pool of judges and announced at the opening of Sunday’s Amphitheatre night concert.
Student Showcase
In line with its commitment to support Emerging Artists, the Nannup Music Festival offers performance opportunities for music students to showcase their craft in front of an engaged audience. It is always a delight to see the growth of the students, with some picking up national touring and airplay as they evolve. See the participating schools for 2026.

Remote Aboriginal Artist Development Program
The Nannup Music Festival is excited to announce that Expressions of Interest are now open for year two of the program, supported by the West Australian Government’s Contemporary Music Fund.
