About the artist
Sundown is an Indigenous country-soul outfit from Carnarvon in Western Australia’s Gascoyne region, blending heartfelt storytelling about life on Country with reggae and rock influences. Lifelong friends since their teenage years, Ray Edney (guitar, vocals) and Walter Lockyer (guitar, vocals) form the heart of the band, joined by James Tremlett on drums and Zenith Achoo on bass. They’ve lit up stages at events including the Creality Gascoyne Arts Festival, Stomping Ground, and That’s Life Carnarvon Music Festival. Their new single and video, Nothing’s Gonna Change, is set for release soon, carrying their signature mix of soulful melodies, rootsy grooves, and deep connection to Country.
