About the artist

You could call Belle Miners an international supergroup. Known for their lush harmonies, genuine story telling, and witty stage banter, the Australian – Canadian folk-pop band formed on tour in Australia in 2014.

Their debut album ‘Powerful Owl’ was released in November 2017 to much acclaim with the album premiering on The Music.com.au with the AU Review writing, “Powerful Owl… an album we’ve come across in recent weeks and have been struck by … “Night Flight” is already a winner in our eyes”. East of 8th, Nashville, called the album ”Festive folk pop at it’s finest”

Touring Australia every year as Belle Miners from 2015 – 2020, the band recorded and released their debut album ‘Powerful Owl’ amongst Jackett’s struggles with brain cancer. In 2018 they added Canada, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands to their tour, finding enthusiastic fans in far away places.

After wrapping their tour at Nannup Music Festival in 2020, Austral-Canadian folk-pop trio Belle Miners found themselves with fresh tracks, brand new fans, and awards for their latest single ‘Cradle to Caves’ from Cygnet Folk Festival. Belle Miners enjoyed packed audiences at every venue at Nannup Music Festival – playing to warm, receptive audiences – before needing to redirect flights and quarantine.

Finally after nearly a 4 year hiatus, the band reunited in February 2024 touring Australia, rekindling the flame and releasing their EP ‘Dandelion’, recorded in 2020. They followed this with a 10 show, 2 week tour of Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands in August 2025.

Now approaching the 10th anniversary of their debut album, they are road testing the material for their sophomore album.
