Born and raised in the beautiful town of Margaret River, singer-songwriter Kiera Jas is spreading her wings in the South West music scene as a solo artist. The indie/folk artist has made a name for herself in her local area, featuring at various venues and festivals throughout her early career.
Kiera has a unique sound and style that appeals to many. Her audiences would liken her to a blend of Julia Jacklin and Courtney Barnett; however, her style is not bound to any particular genre. She is in her element performing her original material, alongside her witty banter that will put a smile on anyone’s face. From the first lyric, she will have you instantly captivated. Her shimmering vocals are complemented by warm guitar tones and often interchanged with triumphant ukulele and tambourine sounds. Stories become songs, which have the power to warm you up on the inside like a cup of brewed tea – encouraged by melodies that dapple in thoughtful song-writing.
Jas has performed alongside a number of prolific Australian acts including, Kallidad, Coterie, Mama Kin Spender and John Butler. She was also the opening act for the 2021 Good Day Sunshine Festival with Missy Higgins.
More recently, Kiera Jas and fellow Margaret River musician ASKYA came together to write and release their first Collab, “Above the Water.
