The Wilding Stories - Like a Version
Join Wilding Stories audio producer/writer Margot Edwards and songwriter/performer Tilly Kelleher for a collective, deep listening experience of three pre-recorded audio versions of The Wilding – a new original folktale told in Celtic storytelling tradition; a Noongar-English yarn around the campfire; and a powerhouse a-capella ballad wrapped around a soaring lyric spoken word poem.
Followed by an hour of conversation/workshop around the craft of taking story to song, reinterpretations, versions, the nature of cross-cultural archetypes and folktale traditions and our collective fascinations with re-arranging and performing in contemporary framings. Open to playful improv riffing off the theme / reinterpretation.
