SEAWITCH

Forming in August 2020, SEAWITCH have cast a spell over the Wild West with headline shows, including a sold-out appearance at ‘Hidden Treasures Festival’, Fremantle in July 2021… with a line down the street.  More packed-out headline shows at The Rechabite, Amplifier Bar and Convenients, Perth, plus being contracted to perform at the infamous heavy music festival, ‘Wallapalozza’ QLD in May 2022, cement their presence as one of the most exciting rock groups to launch anytime… let alone during a pandemic.

Since 26 June 2021, SEAWITCH have released four single videos from their debut self-titled vinyl and digital EP in as many months, garnering over 20K views on their YouTube channel and another 15,000 on the infamous Mr Doom666 Stoner Rock channel.  High rotation adds to MMM HardNHeavy, spot plays on Double J, plus strong community radio support including Perth’s RTR and podcasts around the country and overseas, weave SEAWITCH’s musical spell.

In March 2022, SEAWITCH signed with CHEERSQUAD RECORDS, to release their debut album, WELL OF SPELLS, 21st October 2022 – just in time for Halloween.

Video Singles, ‘Witches Forever’ and ‘Force’ saw Seawitch attract more enthusiastic attention from the industry and punters alike.

This was followed by an interstate album launch tour with Seawitch joining visiting USA legends, STONER and playing their own sold out shows.

Online music magazine, ‘Around the Sound’ says: “The members of Seawitch, including frontwoman, Fiona Horne, have all been there done that, so they have no expectations to live up to, no fucks left to give. That can go one of two ways: you can either phone it in while you struggle to pay off your 90s coke debt or you can just let rip and sound like a band that’s having the most fun they’ve ever had. Seawitch kick out the jams while playing maximum R&B. It’s stoner rock at its sweaty, shirts-off best and, right now, I don’t think there are any bands anywhere in the world that could do what Seawitch do.” – Andrea Thompson
