Maya Ixchell has been performing for the last few years and in that time has cemented herself as an upcoming name to watch in the Western Australian music scene. She has been a regular performer at festivals such as the Nannup Music Festival, Country Sounds Music Festival and Out of the Woods Festival, opened for well-known artists such as the Hoodoo Gurus, Jon Stevens, Baby Animals, Mark Seymour, Kallidad, Fieldsy, Joan & the Giants and Mitchell Martin, toured up north playing shows all the way from Perth-to-Broome, performed live on national television for Telethon, released seven singles which have accumulated over 100,000 streams, and was even shortlisted for The Voice Australia in 2016.

Regularly being compared to some of her favourite musical influences and songwriters such as Missy Higgins and Taylor Swift – Maya Ixchell loves incorporating her own experiences into her music and sharing the emotions and stories with her audience.
