The Nannup Big Puppet Project – Teen Workshop
A slow-growing, community-born artwork that unfolds across several festival years. It begins with listening, drawing, and dreaming together, and culminates in a large-scale puppet that carries the stories, values and shared spirit of the Nannup Music Festival.
Three open workshops will act as creative gathering points. Using mixed media — collage, pencils, pastels and found imagery — participants explore form, character and symbolism. The workshops are designed to feel playful and welcoming, while gently guiding ideas toward a shared visual language. By the end of the weekend, a constellation of drawings and concepts will exist — a community imagination made visible. At the 2027 Festival, we will be creating and completing this incredible puppet!
