THE 2022 NANNUP MUSIC FESTIVAL HAS BEEN CANCELLED
Full press release here.
Planning is well underway for another special festival in March.
As with all planning we experience some hiccups, yet with time and space we work things through.
You may have seen the recent ‘WA’s Safe Transition Plan’ from the WA Government:
Nannup Music Festival – being an event of over 1000 attendees – fits within this new plan. We have no clarity where things will be in March 2022 – will borders be open by then? Will we be at 90% vaccination?
What we do know, is that as a large public event, we need to work with this plan, with much appreciated support from our community and government.
A significant part of this new plan is that everybody aged 12 years and over will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, and we will need to see proof of vaccination to allow entry to our main festival (ticketed) site and campgrounds.
We understand this may impact some of our ticket holders, friends, performers, stall holders, service providers etc, and we totally understand and respect that you may now wish to withdraw from the event.
We are happy to honour a full refund to our ticket holders that wish to cancel.
We will be offering a full refund up until the 31st of December, in order to allow the time for you to clarify your feelings and your plans. If you would like to proceed with a refund, please email tickets@nannupmusicfestival.org with your information and this can be processed.
This is one of those times that we need to be kind and respectful to each other. Please understand that we respect you as you are. We need to honour and work with this new plan, but that in no way means we don’t care for you. The world has been a strange place the past couple of years, and the coming together for the festival has been a blessing. We have been lucky to have experienced it.
We hope that when we are planning for 2023 all of this will be just a strange memory and we can again be together, safely as one.
Thank you for your understanding.
The Nannup Music Festival Team.
