Bush Poets

Alan Aitken was raised on the edge of the northern suburbs of Perth.  As a grey nomad, he now lives in a caravan and travels around the state.  When he is not assisting on farms and stations he helps out and performs at music festivals.

As a born and bred Aussie he has always been interested in Australiana.  His interest in Bush poetry really started when he heard someone recite Turbulence at a function in 2009.  He joined the WA Bush Poets in 2011 and started the Bunbury Bush Poets Group in December 2012 which is still going strong.

He is a reciter of bush poetry and has a broad repertoire of poems from classic to modern and from serious through humorous to very funny.

Any person interested in participating in this event or listening to Australian Bush Poetry are welcome to pop along.
